Safeguarding quick reference, always visible
Every member of staff at Dwight School Seoul has a duty to safeguard students. When in doubt, report. It is rarely wrong to raise a concern.
Your responsibilities
Report concerns promptly. Never investigate alone. Never promise confidentiality. Document factually. Prioritize the student's safety above all else.
If a student discloses
Listen. Believe. Do not ask leading questions. Use the student's exact words in your notes. Report to the DSL within the same working day.

Policy 6.1
Student Additional Needs Evacuation Register

The Director of Inclusion maintains a Student Additional Needs Evacuation Register, updated at the start of each term. This register identifies every student who requires additional support during an emergency and names the specific staff member responsible for supporting that student.

Eligibility
Inclusion is not limited to students with a formal diagnosis. Any student whose needs may affect their safety or ability to self-direct during an emergency is eligible, including students who are new to the school and have not yet been fully assessed.
